Lesson 4: Preparing Your Meat...

Now that you have chosen your choice of meet it is time to prepare it, now there is two ways of doing this step.

  • The first one is to combine a lot of spices and give your meat what is called a dry rub, your simply giving your meat a thin layer on the out side that has flavor which when cooked the spices go into the meat.

  • For Example: Adding crushed garlic, crushed onions, parsley, salt, pepper, and other spice onto the meat and giving it sort of a masash with the different flavors.

  • The second way is by starting of with water and also adding again different spices this time with more liquid then dry spice. This is call marinating, since you are letting the flavors souk into the meat over a couple of nights or sometimes just for minutes

  • For Example: Put the meat in a bowl first add water then ginger, salt, pepper, soy sauce, ketchup, chopped jalapenos, and other spice of your chose then wrap with foil or plastic and put in your refrigerator for as long as you think the meat will take to absorb the flavors.
